At Cyclomax, we run two sides of the business — a social media agency and a software development shop — so we end up testing a lot of AI tools just to keep both moving fast. Here’s what’s actually earning a place in our workflow this year.
Claude – our go-to for generating HTML/CSS, planning site architecture, and drafting UX copy before a client sees the first mockup.
Figma AI – wireframes and component suggestions that save us a design pass on smaller projects.
Webflow AI / Wix AI – solid for client sites that don’t need custom backend work.
Framer AI & Relume AI – good for fast sitemaps and first-draft copy when scoping a new build.
GitHub Copilot – still the standard for in-editor code completion.
Cursor – our team’s pick for multi-file edits and refactors with real control over what the AI touches.
Claude – explaining unfamiliar code, writing functions, debugging tricky logic.
Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf) – Cognition’s agentic IDE, now built around a command center for managing AI agents alongside your usual editor.
Bolt.new – handy for spinning up a full-stack prototype straight from a prompt.
Figma AI, FigJam AI, and Relume AI cover most of what we need for wireframes, user flows, and quick prototypes — Uizard is worth a look too if you want something more no-code-friendly.
For system design and documentation, Eraser AI and Mermaid Chart AI get the most use on our end — Eraser for architecture diagrams and DB schemas, Mermaid when we just need a quick flowchart from text. Lucidchart AI and Whimsical AI are solid alternatives if your team’s already in that ecosystem.
Claude for long-form technical writing and document analysis, Notion AI for keeping project notes and internal knowledge bases organized, GitHub Copilot for inline code comments.
The honest take
None of these tools replace the judgment that comes from actually shipping projects — checking edge cases, securing an API integration, or knowing when a “quick AI fix” will cause more problems down the line. But used well, they cut down the boring parts and free us up for the work that actually needs a human.
